Lingerie Basics

Finding the Right Foundation and Beyond

Alright ladies, here is a quick quiz for you: what do you expect from your lingerie? What do you think your lingerie is supposed to do for you, your body and your wardrobe? If you were bewildered by these questions, then get yourself a cup of coffee and get comfy, lass, we have much to discuss. These are the lingerie basics, bra and panty boot camp, if you will, all of the information that you need to make sure that your D’s are all that they can be!

If Your Bra Don’t Fit, Ain’t Nothing Fittin’

So, you have been in line behind a woman, a perfectly lovely woman who has the unfortunate back boob problem. You know what I mean, her bra is cutting into her and making little rolls of fat hang over the side. She is either wearing a bra with a band that is too small or she is wearing a bra with a band that is too narrow. Either way she is not wearing a correctly fitting bra. Ladies, you should have boobs up front, not on the side, in the back or in the middle. There should be two, but not more. If you have any of these problems you have to get a bigger bra and/or a smaller you. End of story. A good fitting bra is one that will lift and separate your breasts, smooth out your sides and back and keep your posture straight. It will make your clothes fit and look better and will keep your back from feeling horrible.

Same with Your Panties

Okay, so the lady in front of you in the store had a minor problem with additional boobs which can be fixed by a better understanding of lingerie basics. Now picture what is going on below the waist. There are a number of things that can destroy the look of your clothes, especially clingy materials that could reveal every bump or lump. Unless you weigh less than air, there are some clothes that are going to require that you use some kind of foundation garment for best appearance. So a thong will eliminate a panty line in back but if you have a tummy, you will have a weird thing going on in front. It is better that you wear something that smoothes out your tummy and tucks in your butt. If you really want to create a nice shape, use a one piece shaper that will nip in your waistline and smooth out all of the extras.

From Top to Bottom

Although you don’t have to wear one every day, you should wear a one piece shaper for special occasions, preferably one that smoothes out your thighs as well. Make sure that it fits correctly or you will end up not breathing correctly, comfortably as well as walking funny.
