Five Tips for Saving on Lingerie When Shopping Online

Shopping online is something that many, many people do these days. They buy everything from light bulbs to cars and everything in between. Many women shop for clothing, including their lingerie while online, finding bigger selections and a wider range of sizes while online and can often find better prices as well. Listen ladies, if you are a tough fit, you may do better online. Trust me, I know exactly what I am talking about here, I am a really, really hard to fit person. I cannot usually buy bra and panty sets- I have to buy them separately. Bras are a nightmare for me. Sit down if you are easily shocked. This may be the most honest thing that you have ever read online: I am almost a nightmare to fit. I technically need a 36 GG bra but tend to stuff myself into a much smaller bra because it is so hard to find a good bra. I also have very little shoulder to speak of so I need to adjust them as well. You are never going to wander into a local store and find my size, believe me. Online is my only option. If you are a bigger or smaller fit than average, online may be your salvation as well.

Tip One: Know Your Navigation

If you are an online shopping newbie or an old pro at it, you need to know how to navigate a site. Most of them are set up for easy shopping, with the links to each page on the top or along the left hand side. Look for the word “clearance” or “outlet” usually at the end or the bottom and start your search there for the items that are at their lowest price. Sale items or special buys are usually listed first on the page as well but may be fairly limited.

Tip Two: Know the Items and Prices

Never assume that the prices that you are finding online are lower than what is available in the brick and mortar stores. Shopping for lingerie online is convenient, but you have to make sure that you are remembering the other costs that might be added or you will end up paying far more than you should for the item that you are choosing. There are items that are available only online, but there are also items that are available in both the stores and online- make sure that the price is the same or you will end up paying more online.

Tip Three: Know the Tricks of Online Shopping

There are ways to avoid having to pay shipping and handling costs, including sites that will give you codes to get these for free no matter where you are shopping. If you do not know these sites or cannot find the code for the site you are using, make sure that your shipping costs are not astronomical or why bother?

Tip Four: Know the Return Policy

Every online shopping site has a different returns policy and different sizing. You need to make sure that you understand both. If you do not know the exact size that you need, you will be stuck with an item that you cannot use or return.

Tip Five:  Know the Terminology

Most sites have very nice pictures that show the item clearly; not only in terms of style but color choices as well while others do not. So that you are not shocked when your item arrives, make sure that you know the terminology of the items and read the accompanying descriptions carefully.
