There is so much intimate apparel that you might be overwhelmed. Add to the fact that most of the catalogs and other examples of these items are shown on one body type (think: ruler). Unless you are built like a lingerie model, you are going to need to carefully choose your intimate apparel in a better way. For instance, if you have a tiny waist, you will want to accent it with fitted intimate apparel. If you have something that is less than perfect however, you will want to do what you can to hide it.
Bras that will work well on women with small chests may not work as well on women with bigger chests, not only because of the lack of support but also because of the problem with cup spillage and other problems. If you are going to buy a bra that will not only be used for sexy moments but day to day wear, you don’t want to have your cleavage shoved clear up to your throat nor do you want to have more than two breasts. Remember, if you have more than two, you might need a new size and style of bra.
A corset or bustier can highlight your waist, especially if you are built like an hourglass, but if you have more sand in one area or another of your hourglass, it might be difficult to find one that works well for you. While you certainly can find some great examples of intimate apparel online, you also need to keep in mind that if you are not an easy fit, you will have to go to a boutique to get some ideas of how these styles fit you and what they look like on you. After all, most intimate apparel is gorgeous when you lay it out on the bed but once you squirm and curse your way into it, you might find yourself less than thrilled with it. (Yep, it’s always the clothes and not the body that is at fault!) It doesn’t make sense to buy any piece of intimate apparel that will not make you absolutely thrilled.
One of the major complaints of most women is their hips, butt or thighs, so any intimate apparel that will hit that area should be especially well planned. For instance, a boy short is comfortable and looks good, but not on those who feel this is their widest section because of the way it lays. Tap pants may add too much bulk to the thigh area while a thong or g-string panty may make a larger butt look like the continental divide. There is the perfect intimate apparel for every body type and shape but sometimes it takes a little bit of searching to find it.
